Sloan Gonzales

Sloan Gonzales serves as the Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, where they lead campus-wide strategic planning, organizational initiatives, assessment efforts, and stakeholder engagement activities that advance institutional priorities. In this role, Sloan partners with campus leaders, faculty, staff, and community stakeholders to translate strategy into action through project leadership, communications, process improvement, and collaborative problem-solving. 

With more than 15 years of experience in higher education, leadership development, and community engagement, Sloan has led initiatives focused on strategic planning, organizational effectiveness, leadership education, campus climate, belonging, and institutional change. Prior to their current role, they served in several leadership positions at UCCS, including Director of Inclusive Culture & Belonging and Program Director for campus leadership programs. 

Sloan is also an adjunct instructor and doctoral student in Educational Leadership, Research, and Policy at UCCS. Their professional interests include student belonging, organizational culture, leadership development, strategic communication, and institutional transformation.
